UWGC’s Middletown Area has partnered with Ohio State University’s Rapid Acceleration of Diagnostics (RADx) team and the Center for Closing the Health Gap to hire the first of two Community Health Workers.
Joslynn Pretty, who started May 24, primarily will work with specific populations in the community. She also will work with Center for Cancer Health Equity staff, community organizations and groups, and other agencies to increase health knowledge, especially around COVID-19 testing, contact tracing and prevention. Her role will include providing resources to remove barriers and improve access to COVID-19 testing and vaccination.
Pretty has a master’s degree in health informatics from Walden University.
The Middletown Area Center is looking forward to hosting its annual Golf Outing June 14 at Shaker Run Golf Club in Lebanon.
The format is a four-person scramble, with a shotgun start at noon. Players paid $150 each, with donations helping United Way of Greater Cincinnati reach its 2021 campaign goal. The deadline to register has passed. The event is supported by these sponsors:
