CINCINNATI (October 9, 2022) — With your support, United Way of Greater Cincinnati is a catalyst for change in our community by investing in efforts and partners focused on making systemic change so everyone in our region achieves economic well-being.
Through UWGC’s six systems change focus areas - Housing First, NextGen Success, Equitable Economic Mobility, Improved Prevention/Stronger Communities, Ready Kids/Resilient Families and Responding to Community Needs - we are driving real change so more families thrive.
With your help, we are funding Black-led social changemakers. We are taking a family-centered approach to our services. We are serving neighbors in need so they can stabilize their families.
These outcomes are a direct result of your support.
Your advocacy leads to results for our community too. Joining together, we have improved the quality of childcare in our region, publicly funded preschool for Cincinnati's 4-year olds, expanded funding for volunteer tax assistance, and protected the charitable tax deduction.
Lending your voice helps us change policies in big and small ways. It can be asking your city council to invest in public Wi-Fi, urging policy makers to make post-secondary education more affordable, and working with lawmakers to adapt policies that make housing universal, stable and affordable.
As we bring a renewed focus to our advocacy work, we welcome your voice in mobilizing family, friends and neighbors to vote or speak out on critical issues whether in person or online.
