Dear United Way friends,
United Way’s 211 Helpline provides a vital service to our community, extending caring support and connecting callers with needed services 24 hours a day.
When individuals and families experience crisis, the process of seeking help can be overwhelming. United Way 211 is a one-stop shop for assistance. When someone turns to 211, we treat them with respect and dignity and quickly connect them to needed services.
Our helpline workers respond to 2,500 requests a week. We have helped nearly 1.5 million people since 2003! Some of the connections callers make: housing or utility assistance, food assistance, help finding a job, physical or mental health services, homeless shelters, veteran or military family resources.
You can learn more about this service at uwgc.org/211 and also access our 211 Online Database.
Your support makes this possible. We are grateful to you and our 211 team.
Sincerely,
Moira Weir
