Our Free Tax Prep volunteers get a personal and immediate glimpse into the impact they are making on people’s lives.

“I’ve had people in tears before, just because of how grateful they are,” said volunteer Annette Tice, who has been helping people prepare and file their taxes for 10 years. She works for accounting firm EY, but volunteer opportunities are available regardless of your tax preparation background.

During the 2022 tax season, we completed 6,591 returns, helped families obtain more than $10.7 million in refunds and saved them nearly $1.8 million in preparation fees.
